Hi, I am Margarita Ribot, a qualified Nutrition & Health Coach passionate about healthy eating and cooking Mediterranean recipes. Thank you for stopping by Tasty Mediterraneo!
I grew up in Spain enjoying a healthy Mediterranean diet and lifestyle
My mum being original from Jaén (Andalusia) and my dad from Majorca (Balearic Islands) my best memories of home include food, family and friends around a table, the Mediterranean way!

My passion for Nutrition and the Mediterranean diet has always existed. But before I started my career in nutrition, with my double competency: Engineer + MBA, I worked for over 12 years in the corporate world with international experience and global responsibilities. For about a decade I lived and worked out of Spain, first in France, where I successfully completed my MBA and met my French-Lebanese husband. France was followed by Belgium and Belgium was followed by Ireland, the beautiful emerald island.
This was a very enriching and valuable experience for me, but a few years ago my passion for nutrition & health led me to leave behind a successful corporate career to become a certified Nutrition & Health coach.
Currently I am a completing a MSc in Food, Nutrition & Health at University College Dublin (Ireland) to become a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr)
Through my blog Tasty Mediterraneo and my online coaching services, I help people to understand the importance of nutrition for health and the concept of a balanced diet as well as to build up a good relationship with food to achieve long-term sustainable health.
As well as Spanish, I speak fluent English and French. Having family and friends from different origins encouraged me to write this blog in as many languages as I can so that most of you can enjoy my recipes.
My mother in law helps me with the Arabic translation. She is an amazing woman who is very kind and happy to be part of Tasty Mediterraneo’s team.
I am a Gourmet Guru of the Global Pulse Confederation representing both Spain & Ireland and a recipe contributor to the International Year of Pulses 2016 of the FAO of the United Nations.
I have also shared some of my recipes with the Expo Milano 2015 and my recipes have been featured in numerous publications, including The Huffington Post.
I recently won “Silver Health & Fitness blogger of the year” Award at the Irish Health and Fitness Awards 2018.
And Tasty Mediterraneo was shortlisted as a finalist for “Best European Health Blog” at the Health Blog Awards 2018 of United Kingdom.
In November 2018 I was invited as a “Key Food & Health Influencer of the European Union” to the “Food & Health forum” in London.
